Indigenous Health Student Engagement Fund

GRP

The Indigenous Health Student Engagement Fund (IHSEF) is a one-time sponsorship opportunity of up to $ 1000 open to all students interested organizing an Indigenous health related project on the UBC Vancouver campus. Started in 2018, the IHSEF was created with the vision of filling the resource gap between student activities and learning as well as furthering the standard curriculum or core programming in regards to Indigenous Health. All students are welcomed to apply for the IHSEF with their relevant project in order to receive financial support from the CEIH.

Applicants must be current UBC students or have a current UBC student as a project lead. All current UBC students with a project related to Indigenous Health are welcome to apply. The Letter of Intent must be reviewed and verified by a UBC staff or faculty who have knowledge of the student or student group activities prior to submission to the CEIH.

A completed Letter of Intent (LOI) must be submitted to aboriginal.health@ubc.ca before the deadlines outlined in the Frequently Asked Questions section.

A fillable PDF copy of the LOI can be downloaded here.

Who can apply?
Applicants that represent current UBC student groups can apply. The Letter of Intent must be reviewed and verified by UBC staff or faculty who have knowledge of the student or student group activities prior to submission.
