Most of the awards administered by the Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health are, unless otherwise specified, for students studying a broad range of fields related to health services. The Centre’s definition of “health sciences” encompasses a broad range of disciplines that include human services such as social work and psychology.
If you are:
- pursuing a degree in any area of health science or human services
- training for a health or human service profession
- enrolled in a health sciences program
- pursuing health-related research in academic or community settings
or have incorporated health into your area of research, you are eligible for the awards administered by the Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health.
If you are uncertain about whether your degree or research would be considered “health-related” for the purposes of the Centre’s awards, please contact our awards team for clarification.
